In Memory of Ethan Baptiste

Ethan BaptisteEthan qəymaxqən Baptiste, one of the Okanagan Nation’s prominent young leaders and intellectuals passed away suddenly on June 8, 2010. A father of three and mentor to many, Ethan combined his pursuit of academics with a passion for his people and culture. A PhD candidate at UBC Okanagan, Ethan taught courses, served on university committees including the Aboriginal Strategic Plan Committee. His mother, Maxine Baptiste, is a member of the Faculty of Education.
